The Fun Run
Every October, Holy Family Academy students run laps for pledges from family, friends, and neighbors — one of the biggest fundraisers of the school year, and the one that's the most fun to be part of. Sponsors give a flat amount or pledge per lap, students run as far as they can on event day, and every dollar goes straight back to the school.

How It Works
Four Steps, Start to Finish
Register
A parent signs their student up for the run, and can set a personal fundraising goal to aim at.
Share
Every runner gets their own page. Share the link with family, friends, and neighbors so they can pledge.
Run
On event day the students run as many laps as they can, and volunteers count every lap at the track.
Sponsors Are Charged
Flat gifts are charged when they're made. Per-lap pledges are charged after the run, based on laps completed — and never more than the maximum the sponsor was shown.
Where the Money Goes
What We're Raising For
At Holy Family Academy, we strive to keep tuition reasonable, so our classical Christian education stays within reach for our families. As the first of three annual efforts to raise funds for the day-to-day cost of our mission to educating students, the Fun Run is the only fundraiser in which every student participates.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the Fun Run?
Thursday, October 8, 2026, on campus at Holy Family Academy. Students run during the school day — families are welcome to come cheer.
How do I sign my child up?
Registration opens September 21. From that date the Register My Student button on this site walks you through it in a few minutes, and you can add brothers and sisters in the same visit.
How do pledges work?
Sponsors choose one of three ways to give: a flat one-time gift, an amount per lap, or both together. A per-lap pledge always has a cap you set in advance, so you know your maximum before you agree to anything.
Could I be charged more than I expected?
No. Every per-lap pledge carries a maximum that is shown to you before you confirm, and you are never charged above it — no matter how many laps your student runs. If they run past the cap, the extra laps are free.
When is my card actually charged?
A flat gift is charged right away. A per-lap pledge saves your card and is charged after the event, once lap counts are final and reviewed — you will get an emailed receipt either way.
Can I give without sponsoring a particular student?
Yes. Give to the school fund and your gift counts toward the schoolwide goal without being tied to one child.
Can I pay by check instead of a card?
Yes. Choose “I’ll mail a check” when you pledge and we will email you the mailing instructions. Checks are made payable to Holy Family Academy.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Holy Family Homeschool Apostolate, Inc. (doing business as Holy Family Academy) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 47-3899772. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your gift. Your emailed receipt is your record — please keep it, and check with your tax advisor with any questions.
What happens if my card is declined after the run?
We will email you a secure link to finish your gift. Nothing is charged without a working card, and you can update your card from that link.
How do I share my child’s page?
Every registered student gets their own page with a Share button that gives you ready-to-send messages for text, email, and Facebook, plus a QR code and printable graphics.
How much of my child’s information is public?
Very little, on purpose. Student pages show a first name and last initial only — never a full name, address, or contact details. Pages live at a private web address that search engines are told not to list, and a photo only ever appears if a parent has checked the consent box. You can set a page to private at any time from your family dashboard.
Can businesses sponsor the Fun Run?
Yes, and it is one of the biggest ways to help. Levels run from $250 to $3,000 with logo placement on shirts, the carline banner, the yearbook, and this website. See Become a Sponsor for what each level includes.
I still have a question. Who do I ask?
Reach out to The Fund Development Team at giving@hfa.la. We are glad to help.
